The drills in this practice

Using the pack with your group

Is this suitable for a new coach?

Yes. The cards explain where players start, how to score, when to reset and how to rotate. Demonstrate one rule at a time, then simplify the activity if players need more help.

What equipment and space does the sample use?

It is written for around 10–12 players and two baskets, with basketballs, cones and a timer. Use equipment and shooting distances suited to your players. With one basket, run smaller groups or alternate a basket activity with a ball-handling station, and adjust the timings.

How should I adapt it for ages 6–7?

Start at walking pace, bring passing and shooting targets closer, and use no defender or a walking coach in the final game. The pack includes these simpler options; add pressure when players are ready.
