How to run the drill
- 1Stand on one lane line of the key. On “go”, slide (or sprint) across and touch the other lane line with your hand.
- 2Go back and forth as many times as you can in 30 seconds. Count your touches.
- 3Rest for a minute while a partner goes, then try to beat your score.
- 4Variation: with a ball, dribbling, changing hands at each line.
Coaching points
- Stay low: bend your knees to touch, not your back
- Push off the outside foot
- Beat your own score, not your neighbour's
