Equipment: 1 ball per pair
How to run the drill
- 1Pairs on the baseline. Use one third of the court's width as your lane (sideline to lane line).
- 2The dribbler attacks the far basket. The defender tries to turn them as many times as possible before half court, staying in front.
- 3Play it live to a score or a stop at the far end, then swap roles and come back.
- 4Three trips each. Keep count: defender gets a point for every turn, attacker for every score.
Coaching points
- Defender: nose on the ball, beat them to the spot with your feet
- Dribbler: change speed and direction, protect the ball
- Work the whole way: no walking it up
