How to run the drill
- 1Stage 1 — one step: stand close on the right side, right foot forward. Step with the left foot, jump off it and lay the ball off the backboard.
- 2Stage 2 — eyes and ball: same again, but find the target on the backboard first and keep the ball on your outside hip all the way up.
- 3Stage 3 — add movement: one dribble into right-left-up, then from further out at a jog.
- 4Mirror everything on the left side: left foot forward, step right, left hand.
Coaching points
- Opposite foot to shooting hand takes off
- Eyes on the top corner of the square
- Ball stays on the outside hip — away from the defender
