How the play works
- 11-3-1 shape again: 1 at the top, 2 and 3 on the wings, 5 at the high post. 4 is the runner, starting in the short corner on the ball side.
- 2Pass to the wing on the runner's side so the zone shifts over.
- 3Reverse the ball quickly: wing, top, other wing. As it goes, 4 sprints along the baseline behind the zone to the far corner.
- 4The wing hits 4 in the corner for the shot. 5 follows the ball across the free-throw line and dives if the centre leaves.
Coaching points
- Fast ball movement beats a zone: catch, look, pass
- Runner: arrive as the ball arrives
- Skip the top player with a wing-to-wing pass if it's open
