Equipment: 1 ball
How the play works
- 1Five players spread around the three-point line: top, two wings, two corners. Nobody inside.
- 21 dribbles straight at 2 on the wing. That's the signal: 2 cuts backdoor to the basket.
- 31 hits 2 with a bounce pass for the layup.
- 4Everyone else fills up one spot towards the ball: corner to wing, and so on. If the pass isn't there, 2 carries on out to the empty corner.
Coaching points
- Cutter: one step up to sell it, then go
- Bounce pass, away from the defender
- Fill the empty spots straight away
