How the play works
- 1Most teams defend baseline inbounds in a 2-3 zone. 5 starts in the middle of the lane, 4 on the ball-side block, 2 at the ball-side elbow, 3 at the top.
- 25 ducks into the middle to hold the centre defender. 4 turns and screens the outside bottom defender, pinning them in the lane.
- 32 cuts behind 4's screen to the corner for the catch and shot.
- 4If the defender fights out to the corner, 4 is open on the block right behind them.
Coaching points
- 4: screen the defender's outside shoulder so they can't get out
- 2: hands and feet ready before the catch
- 3 stays at the top for the safety pass
