Equipment: 1 ball each
How to run the drill
- 1Every player finds a space about two metres across — their patch of grass. No basket needed.
- 2For 30–45 seconds, dribble as hard, fast and creatively as you can inside your patch: any moves, any combinations.
- 3Keep your feet moving too — square, staggered, wide, low — so the dribble and the footwork work together.
- 4Rest 20 seconds and go again. Mistakes are the point: if you never lose the ball, go harder.
Coaching points
- Pound the ball — hard dribbles
- Invent combinations; don't repeat a pattern
- Move your feet with the ball
