Defence Scores (Stops Game)
A scrimmage where only the defence can score: a stop — turnover or defensive rebound — is a point and you stay on defence.

Equipment: 1 ball, bibs
How to run the drill
- 1Play 3-on-3, 4-on-4 or 5-on-5, half court or full court.
- 2Only the defence scores: a forced turnover or a defensive rebound is one point, and that team stays on defence.
- 3If the offence scores, or the defence fouls a shooter, the teams swap.
- 4First to five. With three teams: a team that fails to get a stop rotates off.
Coaching points
- Finish the stop with a rebound
- Talk on every pass
- Take pride in it — defence is how you stay on
